TCPiG OpSys (T.O.S.)

A Gnu/Linux based system that is really easy to use. With the latest programs for watching movies, listening to the radio or records or mp3 songs. Wide support of hardware. Updating over the net. (if you wish to ) Totally free to use and change as you like. All software are GPL or compatible licensing. As a GUI we have changed from KDE® to Dropline/GSB Gnome®, this of several reasons. But mostly since Gnome is under the GPL license and we prefer this. In some cases when using older hardware/slow CPU/Low RAM we prefer XFCE Windows manager.

• Security updates will be available if you want them. But no automatic updates are done, you choose if you need them or not.
• Free access to our update and program service. ( No registration needed )

The system is based on the same packaging system as Slackware®, This because we are used to it and found it the most reliable to use (our own opinion, not anyone else's ). Since the system is not entirely based on Slackware®, we can not promise that their original packages works, even if many should without any problem. So please use our Update server to update the system. We will provide several programs that are released under the GPL or a compatible license.

Some of our services are not free due to restrictions in licensing and other circumstances. Most of the professional software (Cad, Book keeping etc.) are provided by us. To get the license and how to use them, please follow the instructions in the download area. Most of the programs are provided as trials (for a period of one month). This means that if you don't like the program you don't have to pay. However, if you like the program and want to continue using it, then contact the maker and get the license. In most cases the licensing fee is very low compared to most other professional programs, but in most cases equally good and in many cases even better. And the best is it is Windows® free :-) !!!
